There is an amazing collection of angst residing on the internet. The emergent themes so far are: people use blogging to report news and their opinions of the news, people use blogs to keep a journal of facts and ideas (not neccesarily their own), people use blogs to document their personal thoughts, ideas, lives and projects. It's that last theme which interests me the most. It's hard to not let your most sincere thoughts and ideas escape into your writings. I don't think you can really know someone by reading their web log, especially if they know it's not a private journal. But, I think, it's possible to find a connection with others to the point that it becomes possible to see how nothing is truly original and yet everything has the potential and honor of being extraordinary. Life mimics life. There are a million analogies in the naked city, and they exist because of all this inter-connection.|||80970796|||
