8/21/2002 10:50:10 AM|||Amy|||I just read the excerpt at Amazon from The Lovely Bones. I had seen this book listed somewhere and after I read the short description, I thought, "Yep. This is one book I will never read." It's the sort of book a woman who has given birth and who knows immeasurable love for her children cannot read. But, maybe that's wrong. I read the excerpt while sitting at my desk at work, and I was trying very hard to make it seem that I was not crying. I would like to read the entire book, but it seems that would be a very brave thing to do and to do such a thing I would have to address the question of whether or not I can afford to be brave.|||80525702|||
