1. What is your favorite scary movie?
The Changeling with George C. Scott This movie scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid, especially when the ball came bouncing down the stairs. I saw it again three or four years ago and that scene was still very scary.
2. What is your favorite Halloween treat?
The little orange and white something corn candies. Lauren didn't sleep again last night so my sleep deprived brain can't remember what they're called.
3. Do you dress up for Halloween? If so, describe your best Halloween costume.
I will usually make some token effort on Halloween, even if it's just wearing black. Last year I donned a cape. My best Halloween costume was a black see through neglige with robe I got at Good Will one year. I would pin the nightgown in such a way as to make it look very goth, and the robe, which was also transparent, would be tied around my neck to look like a cape. It turned out really well. I was in college the last time I wore it. I still have it, but it was a really tight fitting costume then and my body has completely changed so it's been retired. Anyway, the last time I wore it my roommate and I went to a party at a club where I was picked up by a stranger in a mask. It was kind of hot, but I looked like a sex pot (which also is something that has long gone past). So, before my virtue was compromised, I left and drove to Seattle (I lived 60 or so miles south of Seattle then) to see this guy I had been dating. It was a great night, and one of my fondest memories from school.
4. Do you enjoy going to haunted houses or other spooky events?
Oh my yes. My husband and I used to meet up with some former work mates of his and go to a new haunted house every year, and we would always have dinner together (with lots of margaritas) at a Mexican food restaurant which we now pass on our way to work everyday. I would really like to do something for Halloween one year which involves a murder mystery weekend, haunted houses (real ones would be even better) and anything else which seems a lot spooky and maybe even a little sinful. One year a friend and I drove to New Orleans on Halloween in costume. That was fun, but I might have had a better time if I hadn't been really sick with a cold.
5. Will you dress up for Halloween this year?
Doubtful. I might wear the cape from last year.
