1. Have you ever bought something you were so excited about and found out later that it didn't work? Were you able to return it? How did it go?
I am a sucker for gadgets. Lately, my Mom and I have been staying up at night watching Infomercials. While we both know better, we enjoy getting suckered in. At the moment she wants the Tilia Food Saver bad. And I want the Pasta Pot. Neither one of us has the money or the guts to buy them though. What if they don't live up to the ad??? It would be heartbreaking - so I think neither one of us wants to risk disillusion.

2. Do you have a PDA (personal digital assistant)? What kind, and how did you decide? What do you like about it? If you don't own one, do you want one or do you do better without such gadgets?
That, like a cell phone, would be just one more thing to keep track of and take care of. My husband gave me his old cell phone last week because he thinks I need one. Little does he know that not only do I keep forgetting to charge it, but I don't know even know where its charger is. So, basically, he gave me this phone. I put it in my jacket pocket, and as far as I know, it's still there.

3. What illness do you wind up catching more than any other?
I am always sick. If one of my kids gets something, I am guaranteed to get it. They may not infect each other, but I seem to be a primary target.

4. Do you like going to see the Doctor (any type)?
I will put it off as long as I can. Just a couple of months ago, I had a badly infected big toe. I had been in horrible pain for weeks, but by the time I saw him the pain had dissipated and cellulitis had grown under the nail. He wanted to take the nail off, but I just grabbed the prescription for antibiotics and ran.

5. How about the Dentist? Do you like going? Do you go in every 6 months for a check-up?
I constantly worry about my lapsed dentist attendence. I have to get the kids to the dentist, but the whole process of navigating the insurance plus the fear of the out-of-pocket expense is leading me into a frenzy of procrastination.

6. Are you a "Dog Person" or a "Cat Person?" Do you think a person's choice tells you something about their personality?
I want a dog. My son wants a dog. Even my husband would like a dog. The thing stopping us from going to the local animal shelter and getting one is a lack of space and a general disagreement about what sort of dog we are looking for. I want a small to medium sweetie of a dog. Husband wants a large, growly, short haired killing machine. You see the problem.

7. Have you ever had a friendship that just seems to have run its course? Where there is just nothing there anymore? What finally happened?
This happens all the time, and I generally think it's my fault. I have a hell of a time staying in contact, and so the friendship just dies away. I have the usual excuses and they are just as valid for my disappearing friend as they are for me. Kids, work, worries.|||87376656|||
