6/30/2003 05:54:12 PM|||Amy|||Monkey did not, in fact, poo in the hotel pool this weekend. Although, I'm sure she did her part to replace any misplaced water caused by splashing. We had a wonderful time. After we checked in, we took the kids swimming then we splurged a little on dinner. By the time we got back to the room, the kids were ready to go to bed so they both fell asleep in the main bed. After a while, we made up the sleeper sofa and put them there. Monkey was on the sleeper sofa for about 20 seconds before she climbed in with us. Bear lasted for about 2 hours before he migrated our way.

The next morning we got up, had breakfast at the hotel, went swimming again and then checked out. Even though Monkey had just eaten a large breakfast, she somehow managed to contain her poo. After leaving the hotel, we drove to Fort Worth to the science and history museum. Very exhausting. Monkey kept making a break for it, and Bear was all over the place going from exhibit to exhibit. Still, we managed to get through the planetarium and an Omni film on coral reefs without anyone allowing a high pitched scream to exit their vocal chords, or any other major disturbances.

All in all, we had a terrific time and I was lulled into a false sense that everything might actually work out to be okay.
