This afternoon at lunch I listened to Dr. Laura. You gotta love this absolutist fruitcake who hands out generalized judgments on other people's lives based off of their 20 second narrative - which she usually interupts. Today she told a teenage girl that this girl's mother was incapable of loving another person because she hates the girl's father. Instead of trying to find out why exactly this woman has such negative feelings towards a man she once married and with whom produced five children, Dr. Laura maintained that since the woman could not contain her rage against the father that she must be sick and unable to love. I don't disagree with everything Dr. Laura says, but I do see her as a product of a society which is consuming itself with its own laziness.|||95253869|||
