6/24/2003 10:28:07 AM|||Amy|||On to a new topic of interest - children's television. I kind of like Jay Jay the Jet Plane. The talking aircraft is a little creepy, and their handler or mechanic or whatever the hell she is - is a bitch. But, overall, this show doesn't make my skin crawl the way - oh, say - Dragontales does. I've seen the billboards for the new Barney but have yet to see one of the new shows. Monkey is really starting to get into Barney. She doesn't see it often because her brother and parents are just too damn selfish, but she would be just as enthralled as every other little kid on the planet if she had half the chance. Poor little girl. She'll get her own back once her baby sister arrives and grows old and big enough to form an alliance.

Speaking of Baby, I am getting really nervous about all that has to be done before she arrives. I reckon she'll shove her way out in the last week of August, and I want just about everything done by August 1. I want her to gestate for just as long as possible, since I have a history of going into labor at 38 weeks. So, by August 1 I want to be able to lay back and take it super easy until the big day. This means that in the next month I have to somehow perform the miracle of transforming my parent's house from a big storage unit for crap to a home, and move all of our stuff back in from the apartment. Yes, we have been victimized by our financial situation to the extent that we must move back in with my parents and take the risk that we will never be able to move out again due to our sucky credit. My secret plan, however, is to only stay there long enough - such as for six months or less - to get our feet on the ground again and then find somebody who will look past our financial defects and rent us a place. I've pretty much reached a point in my relationship with my parents that I am convinced that a rest home is the absolute best place for both of them. They won't, as they say will happen, actually die from the hell of living in a nursing home - will they?|||95983508|||
