9/9/2003 08:58:20 PM|||Amy|||My husband and my daughters have pretty much been asleep for the better part of the last 24 hours. It's as if a spell has descended on this house and engulfed only them. The baby sleeps normally - at three weeks we still don't expect much of anything else from her. My eldest daughter has been sick, and so her rest is probably therapeutic. My husband, however, is only sleeping to irritate me.

Tomorrow several of my co-workers are coming over for lunch to see Winston. The house is a pit, and I would like to clean it up before they get here. Also, tomorrow is Monkey's second birthday so I would like to decorate, wrap presents and buy her cake from the local Kroger before they get here as well. (I have already decided that this year we splurge on a bakery cake since there is no time and no energy left for me to do something unusual. She'll like the bakery cake better anyway because I'll get a Barney themed one, and I have little artistic talent of my own with these things.) However, Husband sleeps and Moneky rests and Winston nurses and Bear seeks much needed attention. Poor Bear. Poor Monkey. Will they be able to forgive me when their father leaves because I threw a bucket of ice water on him? |||106315910097284389|||Not Sleeping with the Enemy
