One of Monkey's most favorite things to do is to grab something off the refrigerator door and then run like hell for the opposite end of the house. You have to keep a constant eye on her whenever the fridge is open. The other day I found a half full bottle of barbecue sauce nestled in amongst the toys. Last night she grabbed my keys, ran into the laundry room and threw them behind a box of dust bunnies. It took me a full five minutes of sifting through that large collection of allergens to find those little jingly bastards. When she grabs something she knows she is not supposed to have, she cries, "Chase me, Chase me!" and off she goes. She barks at squirrels in the backyard. We don't have a dog, so this isn't a mimicry. She licks faces and furniture. Maybe licking furniture is her version of chewing it. I haven't got a clue why she likes to lick the end tables or the television stand, but she does. She doesn't bite very often, but she always gets into a lot of trouble for that particular thing which may explain why she doesn't bite more.

I've been thinking about getting a dog, but I'm not all that excited about the idea of diligently trying to keep Monkey from wanting to "share" the dog bed (which she would absolutely love to climb into a dog bed.) Or trying to explain to Monkey that just because the doggy gets to chew on toys, doesn't make it okay for Monkey to do the same.
