As you can see, I've been meeting a whole lot of people lately who have been through a divorce. One of my co-workers, for example, has had six of 'em. She has been single for more than 10 years now, and is steering her way into a peaceful, happy, man free retirement.
I think it makes perfect sense that when one is making a major change in their life, that they also go through a lot of other changes. I am a bit overwhelmed though with all the changes I'm making. Still, most of it is positive and healthy.
For example, physically speaking: I've changed the color of my hair by making it just a little bit lighter. It looks as if I have hair that is extremely sensitive to sunlight, and I have been outside a whole lot. Additionally, I'm losing weight at roughly the rate of 1/2 pound to a pound a day. I'm sure that very soon, today even, this will stop, I'll put on a couple of pounds and then spend the next month trying to get to a new stage in this weight loss. However, since I've become just a little obssesed with keeping it going, my eating habits have gone all wonky.
So, I'm just wondering about all of this reinvention. It must be normal, but it just seems kind of odd how I have become deeply impatient with the time it takes to make all the changes happen and put them in place.
