The petition for divorce was filed on Thursday - which means that the waiting period will end around the 29th or 30th of August - at which point we can finalize the paperwork. I feel a bit sad that my response to this over the last couple of days has been: OH MY GOD! WHAT A HUGE FUCKING RELIEF!

I mean, I really thought that I would be a bit heartbroken and maybe a little grief stricken. I have been married for seven years, and I have three small children! Will my heart liquify in all of this relief?
