I am sorry. We can only hope that the legacy this president creates integrates an open minded acceptance of historical trends, that you will be able to live as freely as I have, that you won't ever need treatment which might have been created or enhanced by solid scientific research (The assertion that stem cell research can only be effected at the cost of life is incorrect. It is possible to create embryonic stem cells from an unfertilized egg by fooling the egg into creating a blastocyst. Is it apart of the American ideal to explain to a woman that she does not have the right to decide the fate of her own, unfertilized eggs?), and that you won't ever be faced with making a personal decision regarding abortion. I desperately hope that this administration, which is in appearance a band of self-serving absolutists without capability of thinking rationally and logically about any issue without "consulting a higher authority" or even, their own moral conscience (which some to consider to be the same thing, but it sounds better to say that God gave you the go ahead to kill thousands of people rather than your own brain), does not create a country for you and your children which fails to live up to the high ideals which were defended so bravely by our founding fathers. The United States of America is a great country with a heroic past. It is my hope that it will continue to be so for you and your children.
