I had a rough day yesterday. One of my closest work mates is retiring on March 31, and when she told me - I burst into tears. I told her with what I can only imagine was a sad, pathetic look on my face that I am really happy for her.

I talked to the lawyer several times. It finally ended with me calling my father to ask him if he could look after the kids, and take one of them to school, early on Thursday morning so that their father and I could get divorced. The divorce is good news, right? Not that simple.

Then, finally, there was a pack meeting last night. I've gone well beyond the point of saturation with the cub scouts. It would be intensely selfish and wrong for me to abscond my duties half way through the school year, so I'll have to get my agressions out by expressing a little cub scout related snarkiness on this blog.

Afer all that, I went to bed with the kids at 8:30. Bear told me about a dream he had right after his grandmother was buried about being on a motorcycle and having special goggles with which he could see the spirits of his grandmother, great-grandparents and so on, and also angels - there was a fairly involved adventure story tangled through all of this but at one point he saw God and Jesus. God was on a throne, Jesus was on a cross and he asked them a couple of questions - primarily did you just see a kid run through here? The religious imagery in this was pretty impressive for a kid who doesn't go to church.|||110614427157064119|||1/19/2005 10:37:34 PM|||Judy The Great|||Good luck tomorrow. Let me know how things go.
