I feel that it is very important that I post a picture of the boots I purchased in the middle of a "winter snow warning" last night. For all of you familiar with Dallas weather, a winter snow warning is nothing to laugh at (so stop laughing) and last night we had one. Unfortunately, the rain never turned to snow and the temperature never dipped down low enough to freeze the rain. But, it was raining and it was 40 degrees outside which, if you live in Dallas for long enough, is really, really cold. So, in spite of the frigid temps., I went to Payless with the express intention of ending the funky foot smell that accompanies me through the days once and for... oh... maybe another month. 20 minutes and $16.23 less in my struggling bank account later, I emerged with a a brand new pair of black, zip up the sides, mid-calf high boots.

Now, I know you want to see a picture of these lovely boots before they get all scuffed up and before I get too lazy to wear socks. You won't be able to smell them of course - because the smell-o-vision technology isn't here yet, but you could see them. That is, you could see them if I had a digital camera all my own.

And this is why I am writing to you now: I would like to purchase my very own digital camera. My ex-husband has one, but now that we aren't married anymore - I feel that demands to use it and for him to clean up the pictures will just fall wasted on his deaf ears. So, I think it's high time that I get one that would belong only to me.

So, can anybody recommend one?

You're a woman for fuck sake, you should have several!) so you can allow your shoe soles to DRY before you have to wear them again. Foot powder for your shoes, I've also heard of these things you can by - I think by Odor Eaters that you stick in your shoes at night, they deodorize and I think dry them out also. Dry is good, damp is bad as bacteria love damp. And socks ho! Wear them, take them off when you get home, bring an extra set with you to work if you need to change them mid day. End of unsolicited advice!

Hmmm... if he's still living in your home rent free I think you have EVERY fucking right to ask him to borrow the camera. Besides who paid for that camera since he hasn't had a JOB in YEARS? Even if it was 'HIS' money, it was technically YOUR money since you have BUSTED your ass so fucking long to support him. But you're right, the request would fall on DEAF ears. He's a loser.

I have a nice inexpensive digital that takes 1.3 mega pixels. Which is okay. Look for something that takes 3 or higher though, you can find them reasonably priced. Mine is a Fuji FinePix and it works well. Most of the digital cameras are about the same. I use a Kodak and an Olympus at work and I like them also (Olympus most). Check out some reviews of cameras on line and look for a good price on MySimon.com to compair (then shop e-bay). Just take note of what kind of memory card it takes, some memory cards/sticks are fucking expensive. Also note how it downloads/uploads the photos onto your computer. I bought a card reader for mine as it cost the same as the cord to upload with, but it wouldn't require my camera to be on while uploading and therefore save precious batteries.2/4/2005 02:27:29 PM|||Chris|||goto www.overstock.com great prices on camras and shoes

Someone told me the other day how nice I was for letting my ex stay with us - but in the end, you know what it is? I really need the free babysitting!!! (Because how else am I going to get laid without weeks of advanced planning?)
