Journey Towards Health (End of Week 4)

The kids and I found ourselves at the gym again today.  I re-ordered my general routine a little, and this time I went to the treadmill first.  I spent 15 minutes on it with my heart rate averaging about 135, then 35 minutes on the bike with an average rate of 135.  The real heart rate spiking came when I got on the stair stepper for 5 minutes.  That was hard and a little scary.  The way the machine is set up, I was elevated above everybody else - so not only could I see them but I felt very much exposed - especially when I started huffing and puffing.  My heart rate stayed at 168 for about 4 and a half minutes.  I will probably stick to short durations on that machine, if I do it again any time soon.
