about kanga

I am a not-quite-so-newly divorced mother of three. This is a story about my kids and our adventures, but mostly my angst. I don’t think I would know how to function if there wasn’t any angst.
I refer to my children by nickname because I think it’s cute but also because I am protecting their identity.

Bear is a five six seven eight nine ten year old fifth grade boy who used to be fascinated by King Tut, but is now kind of a Star Wars geek Club Penguin junkie (I mean this lovingly of course).

Monkey is a two three four five six seven year old girl with a very girly love of the color pink, Barbies and God help us, Bratz.

And Winston is our one two three four five year old baby toddler pre-schooler Kindergartener with a beautiful and happy disposition, except when she’s itchy.

John, my albatross of an ex-husband their father, hails from a tiny little village on the northwest coast of Ireland.

I grew up in the Dallas area, went to college in Washington State, and spent about a year in Ireland with a pint as my sidekick. I work full time for a University. I love my job. And my children. I am kind of conflicted about most anything though… queue angst.
